    The Salvation Army believes that human dignity is a fundamental right for all. As an international Christian movement with an acute social conscience, The Salvation Army is called to a mission of service that provides dignity and respect.

    A free shower and laundry service for the unhoused population, promoting health and dignity to those who are unable to access these facilities regularly.

    Available Tuesday to Friday during Connect Café hours. First come first serve.

    In conjunction with our showers and laundry, we have a clothing closet to provide a fresh change of clothes to those in need.

    Food Hampers

    Food hampers are an “emergency” resource and are limited to one hamper per family every 60 days. Food hampers are available to be filled Tuesday to Friday during Connect Café hours.

    • Wednesday & Friday 1-3:30pm

    Free Food Pantry (Take What You Need)

    In addition to our hampers, we have a Free Food Pantry that we operate in our lobby. It is stocked with bread and other sweets and savouries donated from local Cobs Bread and Starbucks locations.

    Time: Tuesday - Friday 9:30am-noon and 1-3:30pm


    Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction

    Workers from the Ministry join us Tuesday mornings to provide you a direct connection to getting assistance.

    Time: Tuesday 9:30am-noon 


    BC Housing

    A worker from BC Housing joins us alternating Tuesday afternoons to provide you a direct connection to getting assistance.

    Time: Alternating Tuesdays 1-3pm


    Pacifica Housing

    A worker from Pacifica Housing joins us Thursday mornings to provide you a direct connection to getting assistance.

    Time: Thursday 10am-noon


    Westshore Community Health Centre (CHC)

    Doctors, Nurses, and social workers from the Westshore CHC come to Connection Point to provide medical and social support to those in the Westshore who do not have access to a doctor or nurse practitioner.

    • Basic Medical Exams
    • Lab Requisitions
    • Scans (X-Rays, CT, MRI, etc.)
    • Referrals
    • Government Forms that require medical reports
    • Mental Health Consultations
    • OAT Management

    We have three Thrift Stores in relatively close proximity:
